About the South Dartmoor CTC Archive

This site is dedicated to preserving the complete record of South Dartmoor CTC, from its founding in 1985 through to its closure in 2019. Within these pages you’ll find a comprehensive archive of ride reports, photographs, and—especially from the mid-1980s onwards—an extensive collection of videos documenting the club’s rides, tours, social events, and the camaraderie that defined our group.

Videos became an important part of our record-keeping from 1985, and by the early 1990s, they captured the spirit and personalities of our club in a way that photographs and written reports alone could not. This collection allows members past and present to relive moments from the saddle, catch up with old friends, and share in the history of South Dartmoor cycling.

This site is maintained purely as a personal archive, independent of the current CTC organisation, and exists solely to keep alive the memories and achievements of everyone who was part of South Dartmoor CTC. If you would like to explore the years that preceded the founding of South Dartmoor CTC, covering 1978 to 1985, please visit the Torbay CTC Archive.

If you have material to add—be it reports, photos, or video footage—or if you spot anything that should be included, please use the contact page to get in touch. Every contribution helps preserve our shared history.
