We started the evening with a game of Supreme Commander, ruined slightly when Callum nuked Will early on, then used two cars to drive to Newton Abbot leisure centre to play badminton from 9 until 10.

Everyone wanted an offroad ride today, and Avon Dam was the obvious choice on such a perfect morning. Since they were so fast up Dean Hill Ash took us down to South Brent and up to Shipley Bridge from there.

We ate ice-creams while Ash did some flips over a hillock, then we had a very enjoyable ride up to the dam and back to Buckfastleigh via the Abbots Way track to Cross Furzes.

The youngsters decided on a trip out this evening, so we drove to Plymouth and played a few games of Pool in TenPin.

We rode the track through Burchett's Wood today: it was a little muddy after Friday's rain but wasn't as bad as we had expected. We took the steep climb to Ridgely Cross and after a café stop at Holne introduced John and Will to the Langaford track. The track starts smooth and level but gradually gets steeper and rockier as you go down. By the time they reached the bottom they didn't have many good things to say about it.

We returned via Hawson Court by 1.20.

It was raining tonight and everyone wanted to stay in to play a massive team game of Supreme Commander. We had three teams of two: Lawrence and Will both tried nuking Ash and Mike but they just had too many defences up to get through.

Tonight we had a huge multiplayer game of Supreme Commander. It was Ash and Mike against the kids, and just for a change the kids won (Lawrence had been practicing!)

We rode out along the old Ashburton road and on to River Dart Country Park where, for the first time, we were actually questioned at the gate! There was no problem of course, so we rode through the park and then up the track through Holne Woods to Holne where we enjoyed refreshments in the café. We returned home via Hawson Court.

Michael had difficulty persuading the younger riders to cycle at all today in view of the overnight rain and threatening clouds, but in the end we enjoyed a shortened ride up to Cross Furzes and then on to Coombe. Will got a puncture at Hawson Court which was fixed hastily to enable a return home by 12.15.
