Michael was feeling quite tired today so he wasn’t going to argue when the lads suggested a modest ride up to Cross Furzes and on through Combe. Lawrence entertained us with his latest plans to move to Germany in a year or so – we hope he changes his mind of course.

Having ridden through Michelcombe and up the hill to Holne we ended up visiting the Holne café again, but that’s never a hardship as we always get the warmest welcome there. Today the coffee was exceptional and the soups excellent.

We returned home the direct route via Hembury Woods for around 1.30. As usual there was a social after the ride in which we watched some of the videos Michael had just produced for the 2014 Easter Tour and then watched the Wimbledon tennis final in which Murray won the title for the second time.
