Only Lawrence joined Michael for today’s ride, which was surprising as it was supposed to be Ash’s birthday ride! Lawrence had made a bigger effort than usual to get out today as his family had recently move to Newton Abbot.

This was definitely the finest weather of the year so far. We rode up the big hill to Cross Furzes, down through Combe to Scoriton and Michelcombe and then home via Holne and the Hembury Woods track. Ash finally got home at 2.30 and soon we also had Will, John, George and Callum O’Brien up for drinks, trampolining and .. birthday cake.
