The weather wasn't brilliant for our first evening ride of 2015 but at least it stayed mainly dry. Our route took us along Colston Road and down to Staverton riverside. Here the bridge over Staverton Leat, which takes water to the nearby mill, was unlocked today but sadly the river level was too high to allow us to cross the stepping stones to the island.

Darkness was falling now, giving us chance to try out our lights. They all worked fine, but as it happened the full moon lit our way brilliantly all the way to Abham and home as the chill air descended.
