A cold morning with a forecast of heavy showers did not tempt us to travel far, so we took the bikes to Venford by car in the hope that the rain would stop long enough for us to ride around the reservoir. As luck would have it, the rain did stop as we arrived, but the journey around the reservoir path was not exactly pleasurable in view of the icy cold wind. The next shower held off until we arrived back at the car, by which time we were so cold that home was the only destination any of us wanted to consider!
