Luke repaired puncture in the autumnal lane. Scaled the castle wall and explored. Track descent to lane, viewed the castle from valley - very picturesque. Luke split off for Paignton. More difficult horses beyond Red Post (4). Voted for slightly longer return route via Broadhempston. Met yet more horses - another 2. A patch of ice in the road near Green Lane caught Ashley by surprise. Buckfastleigh by 1.30. Perfect ride. Afternoon social of computer games and table tennis.]
